The Talk Shows
Sunday, November 25th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn.; Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Carl Levin, D-Mich.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Republican strategists Mary Matalin and Mike Murphy; Democratic strategists Bob Shrum and James Carville.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Retired Marine Gen. Anthony Zinni.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; Former Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi.
I noticed that Stephanopoulos did the same thing last week. I don’t know what it is (especially since Fox is supposed to be the not-so-hostile news organization).
Its funny, the MSM has turned presidential debates into info- mercials. Diamonds or pearls? No need to watch that crap.
Ain’t it the truth!!!!!
The biggest shame I have of the party is when they act like milk-toasts when they should attack, attack, attack!
Actually, I’ve had to go to books-on-tape for my background noise, since there are so few pundits on current tv who actually have anything worthwhile to say, IMESHO. LOL!
By me, Fred did fine.
BUT....
Mike Huckabee was on his show for much longer as I recall...almost the whole hour.
That’s the problem I’m having with Fred...it’s almost like it’s a game to him...a dip his toe in the water and play like a presidential candidate.
I like the guy but I wish he’d be more forceful.
“Mike Huckabee was on his show for much longer as I recall...almost the whole hour.

Huh? Do you think Fred was ask how much time he wanted on the show?
Good Morning, jmyrle.
Just watched Crazy Carl’s face turn red with rage!
Oh, the ricteous indignation! /s
I could never work in Congress. If someone said what Levin said to me...I'd be hard pressed to ever speak to them again. I'm too much of a patriot to take that crap from others.
How does Levin look himself in the mirror each day??? (Or see a reflection?)
I heard that about the refugees.
You know, if Democrats were our children we’d be on to them. That bit about the refugees is like the brother constantly teasing his sister. Finally the parental units tell him to knock it off. In Ratner’s case, the parental units are the American public.
So the brother has to take his finger and touch the sister one more time, kinda sneaky like.
Who on this planet has been discussing the freaking Iraqi refugee problem?
I figger this must be next week’s Democratic talking points. They all had a conference call. One suggested braying about the lack of infrastructure still not fixed; another said let’s beat over the head with the lack of an oil revenue concensus, another one said...HEY, let’s send out the fools and have them complain about the Iraqi refugee problem!
Yeah...that’s the ticket.
The ladies at the beauty parlor ain’t going to buy it.
Mistake...Mary is no ones fool, imho.
I will make sure to have the Fox replay.
Major Garrett making jokes about Thompson’s charges of bias.
First embryonic
Second Federally Funded
Get it right!
[Thompson didnt let him do it.]
Fred’s BOOMING voice over rides the fools.
Agreed. Wallace is a poor interviewer. He doesn’t listen to the interviewee but is more preoccupied with asking his canned questions.
Pigs are Flying!
I think whomever stands REALLY firm on illegal immigration - will get those of us that are Hunter and Tancredo supporters to come along.
[Mike Huckabee was on his show for much longer as I recall...almost the whole hour.]
The show always goes to the “Roundtable” after the half hour break. Same with both Huck and Fred.
Yup. What a small man he is!
Whoooooohoooo!
