“Just watched the Fox interview. Chris Wallace asked a few questions that weren’t attacking Thompson. All Thompson had to do was shrug it off. Instead he gets all bent out of shape. Fred Thompson reminded me of Bill Clinton. They both are very thin skinned. Why so defensive?”

I watched the whole thing and don’t understand you comment. Wallace stops the interview twice to show Thompson in real time criticism of his campaign from two pundits. I’ve never, ever seen that before.

And you want to criticize Fred for taking time to rebut not one but two of these pundit comments? Why would he not take time to do so? To not do so is utterly retarded.

When have you seen a Presidential candidate’s campaign criticized in an interview and the host stops the interview to show the critical comments of not just one, but two pundits. Hey I respect and admire Krauthammer as much as anyone but this is an election, not a Republic as determined by a couple of pundits. Who conducts an interview like this? Ever?

Anyone?

I watch FNS EVERY Sunday and Chris frequently does this, no matter if he is interviewing a lib or a conservative. Although I loved Tony Snow on FNS, I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I like Chris Wallace. He looks quite a bit like his father, but he is decidedly less liberal than Mike is. If you watched every Sunday instead of just when he has a guest you particularly like, you would pick up on this for yourself. I make myself suffer through Hillary, Nancy, Chuckie, and even worse to stay informed. In order to live up to their "Fair and Balanced" reputation, FOX has to ask tough questions of both sides. Fred may have intentionally overreacted a little in order to show that he does have some "fire in his belly" and is serious about his desire to be POTUS.

If the Freepers think that FOX has "gone over to the other side", spend two minutes (or less) watching ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, PBS, etc. I think that some of the FOX commentators may have a "soft spot" for Rudy simply because of his actions during 9-11. I think "Campaign Carl" does try his best to be impartial, but, if his wife is really a part of Hillary's campaign, he should either disclose that or not report on her campaign. Nina Easton, who fills in for Myra from time to time on SRWBH, always mentions that her husband works for a Republican (Romney, I think) if his name comes up in the discussion.

As luck would have it, I just now saw the clips that Chris showed today. (I DVRed the show while I was at SS and church.) The one by Charles Krauthammer is obviously wrong. He is a brilliant man, but I think that he has been relying on what the MSM has reported about Fred's ideas rather than researching them for himself. IMO, Fred has outlined more detailed plans than any other candidate, Democrat or Republican, in the race.
