Who here would have thought that a traitor and a political nobody from the uber liberal Socialist States of the NE would come within one state of beating an incumbent president during a time of open warfare and unparalleled economic prosperity?This is the crux of it, the single most important factor for 2008. The caliber of the candidate and his/her positions have become secondary to the caliber of the nation's voters. Alarming.
