And yet, the old yellow dog trailed Giuliani until he dropped out to recover from cancer.

Someone posted a story a few weeks back, showing the numbers of both her Senate races. Despite facing token opposition both times, she still got significantly fewer votes than Gore in 2000 (counting only NY voters) or Spitzer in 2006.
