Autos will be particularly strong because Japan has always done well with selling smaller cars. That's why Honda cannot keep up with the demand for the Civic here in the USA and it's very likely that when the new Greensburg, Indiana assembly plant for Honda goes online late summer 2008 it will exclusively produce the next-generation Honda Fit for the North American market.
In fact, given the strong demand for smaller cars lately, I wouldn't be surprised that Toyota starts producing the Toyota Yaris three-door hatchback and four-door sedan and the Scion xD five-door hatchback in the USA within two years.

It is a fools game trying to call the bottom, but I do believe there will be bottom in those financials. And it is the financials for the most part which have led the Dow down from 14k.

“Australian stocks were also up “
Surprised Australia isn’t tanking given their new leadership.
