I agree completely. It should not be necessary to sacrifice our national sovereignty and the integrity of our borders in order to maintain a robust economy.
And the author of this article has it just about right: Cynical businessmen, no less than open-borders leftists, are contributing mightily to the current crisis. When the right (or a substantial portion of it, anyway) and the left are in bed together, it becomes all the more difficult to correct the problem.
