I don’t think you’re recalling that God did take away Lot’s children, his livestock and his wealth. Later it was restored to him but read what Job himself said:
Job 1:21(NIV)
and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”
Wouldn’t this be indication that, like Paul, we should learn whatever our situation to be content? Which of the Apostles were wealthy? These health-wealth-and-prosperity teachers mislead people.
God did not did take away Lots children, his livestock and his wealth.
Satan charges Job to God and God allowed Satan to tried Lot for a time to disprove Satan
Below are the total of what God did to Job
Job1:12 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger."
Job2:6 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life."
God never touched Job
God withdrew the "hedge around him and his household and everything he has"(to use Satan words) that God had put around Job ...this alow Satan will, to tried Job... and even then God put limits on what Satan could do to Job
As for what Job himself said guess he and his three friends don't know, there on earth and not party to whats going on above, what Job himself said is speculation
In fact the whole last part of Job is God dressing down Job for his speculation...
