North American Union I don't buy it, not even for a minute. Politicians can be counted on for one thing 99.99% of the time: they will vote to extend their stay in office. Period. Above all other considerations. Occasionally you will find one or two to buck the trend, but never enough among the career politicians in Congress.

This is an answer but not the answer to our current situation. The debacle of the EU that includes rampant socialism, a bloated taxation system and more bureaucrats than could be buried in one day should serve, IMHO, as a warning against such a venture.
