Not only is he a fiscal liberal, but I don’t think that the President should be running around the country preaching about Jesus. Leave that to the ministers.

I agree. Mixing politics and religion means those who disagree with your politics will assume they also must oppose Christianity, and vice-versa.

Your beliefs about God will invariably shape your world view, but preaching while running for President can only end in mud getting tossed at Jesus.

I don’t think that the President should be running around the country preaching about Jesus.

The guy is running for President, but can't stay away from the pulpit to start preaching about Jesus. We know he can do that, what we don't know is if he could be a decent GOP Presidential candidate, and this tends to show that he wouldn't.
