Yes, the lasting results of that are evident.
Israelis go camping in Sinai and Egypt is no longer a Russian proxy so I'd say camp David was pretty successful. Maybe you're confused?

Name two.
Airlines, Trucking, more if you care to look.

Hate is a powerful emotion and it does give people energy and a purpose that they may not normally have, especially if they feel insignificant. There is always a reason to hate and it’s not the reason but the feeling that people become addicted to (they will use reason to reorder the universe). Moderation is a rare virtue that requires an effort that most people may not want to cultivate... it’s easier to give in to the impulses like at a sports event. Perhaps this hatred is temporarily cathartic but usually it gives rise to more of itself. The good thing is that the majority of people won’t act on it and will just blow off steam. In the past people had scapegoats: a Guy Fox day or they were burning effigies — emotionalism was always rampant. Nothing has changed except maybe a bigger manipulation of emotion by the media. That’s something to be aware of...

With one, you have descriptive names, with the other you have hate backed with action. It’s the action part that makes the two different. Calling BJ Clinton a ‘toon is just a name, he is a toon if he actually believes that people buy what he says as truth. Sorta like I worked as hard as I ever had, or I planned to kill bin Laden if I could, or Sandy is just a messy Bergular -— what a load of BS that is.

You hardly ever heard the ‘toon called names on the floor of the legislatures by members, but the party of hate thinks nothing of calling the President names and the troops worse. See Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Dick Durbin for quotes.

With liberals, logic is their enemy and truth is their terror. Watch how they conduct themselves when they are on TV in a debate setting — You are just supposed to not notice, and the leftist media is supposed to hide it. Both no longer function, you notice and the leftist parrot is near death.

Hitlery is just an apt description of her Marxist ways — see healthcare and the way she wants to solve it.

Liberalism is the party of hate, it really is all they have, since they can’t defend their actions or policies in a logical, understandable way ... Like tax the rich, and I say, why what did they ever do to deserve to give up what they earned. Does Al Gore give back what the glow-bull warming hoax has brought him? Talk about follow the money. And then we get to lose in Iraq at any cost, it’s as if the left has gone brain dead and doesn’t remember their own speeches and votes. How do you justify wanting your own country to lose a war for political gain? Did the left ever offer one suggested to help us win in Iraq, other than run away? -—

Politics in America isn’t broken, the liberals are exposed and can’t stand the sunlight and the public scrutiny that brings.

This pathology extends outside the United States. In many countries where conservatives are competitive politically, the left makes a fetish of demonizing any successful conservative leader. Margaret Thatcher is probably the most outstanding example, but John Howard, Silvio Berlusconi, and Stephen Harper have been treated similarly.

Again, if you talk to a "Liberal" they'll give almost *word for word* the same argument as you. "unelected resident" cause Bush "stole the election" etc...

They'll also make similar arguments to yours, but they'll probably use the impeachment debacle instead of name calling.

Politics in America are broken because they've fundamentally broken the country. America is now essentially *two* countries now, one liberal one conservative, with no common ground in between.

The dehumanizing hatred is common among environmentalists. They refer to the “extractive” or “exploitive” industries of farming, ranching and timber harvest with distain as if they were picking up a dirty diaper by the corner and we should be ashamed of them. Good lord, these activities are the foundations of our local economy.

“We will do *exactly the same thing*.”

You’re right of course. In case the unthinkable happens, a little self awareness on this issue will definitely be called for.

OK, let’s pick one. Say, Carter. Can you name anything he accomplished as President that was good?

Transportation and financial deregulation. Granted, the intellectual heft and most of the votes on the Hill were Republican, but Carter was willing to rise above Party and do the right thing.

We did the same thing during the 8 years of Clinton. There were constantly people saying they hate the Clintons. I would hope that people who are elected President have tough skins. They need it.

Occasionally a kind word about Lieberman or Zell Miller but they are rare exceptions.

I personally would add Ben Nelson of Nebraska on that list. But that would be all (those three). lol.

Best quote I heard about Bush Derangement Syndrome came from William Kristol: “They (the Dems) hate Bush more than they love America.”

They can’t change, but so what, I’ve been getting along just fine by moving them right out of my life. Don’t talk to them any more, or listen to them. Get my news from the net, movies from net flix, Skipping tv. You’de be pleasantly surprised how nice life can be when you refuse to even acknowledge these clowns exist. They need to be heard - just don’t.

Camp David was a pretty big accomplishment, the same way the Black Death was a pretty big plague.

Dhimmi Carter signed over billions of dollars to the Eygptians, which is seen by them as just a form of Jizya, or Infidel tax.

We did the same thing during the 8 years of Clinton.

The big difference is the way the MSM treated the two. Recall how the code "Clinton haters" was liberally sprinkled through news reports, especially in the 2nd term and through the 2000 election. It was ordinary parlance, both in print and on TV news shows.

Now jump forward to today. Have you EVER seen the term "Bush hater" in an MSM report? Not that I'm aware of.

In Clinton's case, the term was used in serious news reports to undermine the credibility of his detractors: "Just a bunch of nuts blinded by their partisan hatred". I would love it if someone could Nexus/Lexus the MSM for "Clinton hater" vs. "Bush hater". The results would be illuminating.

I have to admit,6 years out of office I still have to ask God to forgive me for my thoughts when I see a photo or hear Bill Clinton’s name. Same goes for Jimmy.

the current atmosphere of hatred runs both ways

You're absolutely right, and the liberals accuse US of being the haters. The situation is kind of like the dialog between Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in "Lethal Weapon".

Glover - "God hates me".

Gibson - "Hate him back - it works for me".

I take it you're not a big fan of opening up to China either. Would you like the USSR back too?

I don't recall anything good or positive having been said on this forum about either of the Clintons, Carter, Johnson or FDR.

Should anything good come from them...I'll give ya a call...now go stand by the phone....
