A public school's "gender-bender" cross-dressing event, where boys were supposed to dress as girls and girls as boys, has prompted at least dozens, perhaps hundreds, of students to flee the tax-supported institutions in Iowa.
Many of the parents apparently are members of the Christ Apostolic Temple in Des Moines, which teaches a biblically based doctrine of rejecting the world's values.
"Christ Apostolic Temple Inc. Fellowship ... is a Bible-based organization that believes one must 'come out from among them and be ye separate.' (2 Cor. 6:14-17)," the organization's website says.
That apparently includes cross-dressing, an event which has found sponsorship in other arenas from the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, which has promoted a school lesson plan for teaching boys and girls to cross-dress.
State officials in Des Moines confirmed to WND that at least 80 children whose parents were alarmed by the "Gender-Bender Day" during homecoming week at the city's East High School have moved their children from the various districts in the area into homeschooling plans. Several parents told WND that the number could be in the hundreds.
One parent, writing on a blog shortly after the cross-dressing promotion, hardly could contain the outrage.
In bold red type, the parent wrote, "TUESDAY AT ONE OF OUR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS THEY HAD WHAT IS CALLED 'GENDER BENDER DAY!' IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT IS THEN LET ME EDUCATE YOU REAL QUICK IT IS WHERE THE BOYS DRESS LIKE GIRLS AND VICE VERSA!!"
The author continued, "THIS WAS ALLOWED AND CARRIED OUT AT OUR SCHOOLS!!!
I IMMEDIATELY PULLED MY CHILD OUT OF THE DES MOINES PUBLIC SCHOOL! WE ARE NOW HOMESCHOOLING ALONG WITH SEVERAL HUNDRED OTHER PARENTS!"

The libs don’t seem to get it. If the public schools are so bad that you have to pull your kids out of them, then you can be certain you will not be voting to increase the funding for public schools.
The school board, the Pricipal and every single teacher should be required to cross dress as well. All week. This will set the example they are looking for.
Also, all of the men should be forced to sit through an 8 hour, all day dissertation on how to cope with menstruation, proper vaginal hygene and the Marxist underpinnings of the radical feminist eco-ideology and its impact on vaginal hygene. This will be called ‘diversity training’ and they should be forced to sit through it every quarter.
Maybe that will change their minds.
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
This is outrageous!
More money will solve the problems of public education in America!
You say that as if that would be a punishment for them
Warping our children’s minds, with a little ed-u-ca-shun thrown in. This really is becoming a travesty.
In the big-hair band days, it looked like cross-dressing day everyday in high school. Nothing gay about it.

I understand that you’re just being sarcastic, but we do keep hearing that over and over again.
I like to ask the liberals who say this, how much would be enough?
They never have an answer.
Then I tell them that I’m going to let them in on a little secret.
No matter how much money you give the tax-funded, union-run government schools, it will never, EVER, be enough.
I’d just wear a flannel shirt and go as a lesbian.
More money means more of what we’re already getting.
LOL, so a male cross dressed as a lesbian = straight? Very funny. The sad thing is the school would likely not know the difference but the kids would get it.
Not that I would allow my children to attend.
Until parents wake up and express outrage - as did these parents who pulled their children out of the schools - nothing will change.
Our children are in water under increasing heat, slowly being cooked into accepting cross-dressing, homosexuality, big-government, entitlement, immediate gratification and complete moral and ethical relativism.
Welcome to your nightmare.
This is crazy.
In Florida kids that get pulled out of school for home or other schooling cost the school district state funds and causes administrators to wail and gnash their teeth a lot.

Christ Apostolic Temple is right. Once more the world is wrong.
In my school district I would be happy if they just forced the teachers to dress in appropriate professional business attire.
