Yes he was. Four men were tied for second.
okay,
other than his initial crazy push for amnesty, and the campaign finance issues, what are your other issues with him, or is that enough?
A Republican governor from the South, chances of winning the nomination and the Presidency is very high.
SOME pro-life voters (not most as I am one) do fit the mold that not only is it the “ONE issue they wont compromise on” but they’ll take a guy who’s as pro life as anyone here (Fred) and toss him aside for a guy who “sounds” more pro-life and is a preacher, even though he’s horrible on so many other things.
A Republican governor from the South, chances of winning the nomination and the Presidency are very high.
Which is what I fear.
Huck’s a fake.
“Yes he was. Four men were tied for second.”
Weren’t those same four men also tied for last among the top tier candidates? Second and last being the same thing in this instance?
Obama has OPRAH, Hillary has STREISAND, and Mitt has....MARIE!

Gee, I am surprised...
Well, I’m for Fred, but I could vote for Huck if he’s the nominee.
A tactic of the left. Liberals figure, if they repeat a lie long enough, people will start believing them.
As a matter of pure mathematics, our deployed soldiers are vastly outnumbered by the American infants murdered each year.
That's a real stretch of the language, but yes.
The problem is the parenthetical in the title deceptively states a distinction between Willard and Fred (Willard is second, Fred tied for last) not supported by the statistics. They're statistically tied. The parenthetical is a lie.
Big taxer, big spender and backer of amnesty --- Mike Huckabee is just another in a long line of big government Republicans you seem to be fond of.
>>>>>Whatever you say about Mike, he's run a solid campaign and not tripped up once.
The mainstream media has decided not to expose Huckabee`s liberal record, for now.
“It would be hard to be worse than Bush on illegal immigration, but Huckabee is the man who can do it.”
WORSE:
For about eight years, Rosales said, he worked on and off landscaping the grounds at Romney’s home, occasionally getting a “buenos dias” from Romney or a drink of water from his wife, Ann.
“She is very nice,” said Rosales, 49.
About 6 miles away in Copado, a 37-year-old man who recently returned to Guatemala from the United States told a similar story, describing long days tending Romney’s 2 1/2-acre grounds.
“They wanted that house to look really nice,” said the worker, who asked to remain anonymous. “It took a long time.”
As Governor Mitt Romney explores a presidential bid, he has grown outspoken in his criticism of illegal immigration. But, for a decade, the governor has used a landscaping company that relies heavily on workers like these, illegal Guatemalan immigrants, to maintain the grounds surrounding his pink Colonial house on Marsh Street in Belmont.
The Globe recently interviewed four current and former employees of Community Lawn Service with a Heart, the tiny Chelsea-based company that provides upkeep of Romney’s property. All but one said they were in the United States illegally.
The employees told the Globe that company owner Ricardo Saenz never asked them to provide documents showing their immigration status and knew they were illegal immigrants.
“He never asked for papers,” said Rosales, who said he had paid smugglers about $5,000 to take him across the US-Mexican border and settled in Chelsea.
The workers said they were paid in cash at $9 to $10 an hour and sometimes worked 11-hour days.
Romney never inquired about their status, they said.
In addition to maintaining the governor’s property, they also tended to the lawn at the house owned by Romney’s son, Taggart, less than a mile away on the same winding street.
Asked by a reporter yesterday about his use of Community Lawn Service with a Heart, Romney, who was hosting the Republican Governors Association conference in Miami, said, “Aw, geez,” and walked away.
...and from Matthew 24:24 "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible."
I guess the end really is near.
A lie is something that is not true. By any measure of the data, Romney was in second place, and Thompson was tied for last among the frontrunners.
Your word games remind me of those who argued that Bush “lied” in his 16 words in his state of the union speech.
The other poster to that thread had it right — Spiff had a clever spin on the data, one which was entirely accurate as to the actual numbers, and still truthful by your own reckoning.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. And two truths don’t make a lie.
I think some people just have lost their entire sensibility, throwing out words like “liar” in situations where the word clearly does not apply.
You understood the truth of his statements from your very first post yesterday. “After the frontrunner Giuliani, the four remaining frontrunners are tied within the margin of error.”
Today what I have shown is that NOBODY thinks it is a lie for Scott Rasmussen to say “Huckabee leading”, when in fact the lead is within the margin of error.
Not even YOU have argued that the headline was a lie, posting this statement: “Wow, you can’t be oblivious to the distinction between yesterday’s headline (with it’s lying addition) and today’s (no lies)”.
You insist that a poster putting two truthful statements in a headline makes it a lie. You insist that treating the numbers in a poll as literal numbers in a headline adddendum is a lie, when respected pollsters like Scott Rasmussen do it all the time in headlines.
You insist that there is a difference between Spiff ranking opponents by the actual numbers in a poll, and Scott Rasmussen ranking opponents by the actual numbers in a poll.
And you suggest only a stupid person couldn’t see the difference.
Well, the difference is that Spiff is just some freeper posting a quick thought, so if anything his words should be judged less literally than Scott Rasmussen, who published his words as truth for a nationwide audience.
So tell me again what distinction is it that makes Scott Rasmussen’s use of the actual numbers in the poll to say Huckabee is “leading” different from Spiff using the numbers in a poll to say Romney is in 2nd, or Thompson is tied for last?
Because it is clear there is no difference. Both men did what is done ALL THE TIME, ranking people based on the actual numbers in the poll.
Margin of Error is for those not in front. They are important, and you were correct to note that the MOE showed a tie.
But you were simply wrong to call Spiff’s comment a lie.
It’s remarkable that you can’t bring yourself to acknowledge that.
And it’s kind of telling that other fred supporters are willing to make personal attacks on me rather than admit the truth.
Like calling people names when you are caught falsely accusing someone of lying.
