My husband doesn’t even let me SEE the aarp stuff since I laid into him about the socialist rag they publish. Plus, I refuse to think I’m ...... OLD at just over 50.

Oh, AARP, the people who started mailing me solicitations when I was 49, or something like that.
The ones that told me when I get old(er), they want to make certain I am disarmed.
They can put in their dentures..
And Bite Me.

AARP The Magazine, the definite voice for 50+ Americans
Umm...50+? Most 50 year olds who can afford to retire aren't going to be reading AARP's magazine - most people that age would probably be insulted by the notion that the AARP considers them potential members. As human lifespan and the age at which the average American can work effectively go up, the AARP keeps trying to define senior citizenship down. Pretty soon they'll be pitching their magazine to 40 year olds.
