Tonight's debate was ridiculous. These debates are supposed to be for those of us who are planning to vote in the Rebpublican primary a chance to compare the candidates. Instead, all we had was CNN attacking basic conservative principles with each candidate in turn defending our core beliefs. OK for a general election perhaps, but this was little help to those of us undecideds. The Hillary plant retired general was symbolic of what a waste of time. I wonder if CNN will have Pat Robertson ask a question at the next democrat debate?
To the Republican party officials out there -- PLEASE ORGANIZE A REAL DEBATE TO HELP ACTUAL REPUBLICAN VOTERS PICK OUR CANDIDATE.

The first CNN “undecided republican” who they went to after the debate announced support for John Edwards! Totally outrageous. How could anyone acting in an honest fashion assemble undecided republicans and start off with an Edwards supporter?
Bears repeating. If the party pros don't wake up soon, they are going to find themselves stuck with a loser chosen for them by hillary.

Right now, we have Guiliani and Romney getting most of the questions, with Thompson and Huckabee getting just a few less. And what do we get? The same crap answers repackaged by the same 2 or 4 candidates.
If you really want change, have the next debate turned on it’s head. Have most of the questions go to those guys we don’t get to hear from...Tancredo, Hunter, Paul (yes, even Ron Paul). How can we really make a decision on these second and third tier guys if all we get are responses to 2 or 3 questions each debate?
I know what Guiliani and Romney say they stand for—we get a steady dose of it in the media. Let’s have the other guys get some real air time for a change!
Shhhhhhhhhhhh, you’re letting the cat out of the bag — the higher ups at GOP already concede victory to Hildabeast, so no need to promote a real candidate (other than Rudy, of course.)

Ya, my jaw dropped when I heard a “undecided Republican” say she was thinking of voting for Edwards.
I wish they’d just let the candidates talk. No more props and cheap graphics from the YouTube crowd.

I knew that was coming, that’s why I didn’t watch.
surely it was as orchestrated as the dem debate. All questioned persons were pre-screened and had their questions pre-approved.
The debates are just ONE small data point, and even a “real” debate wouldn’t and shouldn’t be more than a data point, perhaps one of more value.
We all need to do our own research, and try to read between the lines, look at the actual records of the candidates, in their entirety, look at who are their supporters and gather MANY data points, to use to make an informed decision. The main value of the debates is to see the candidates live to see how they respond, how they come across, and get some idea of their views, but these are still soundbites.
E.g. I sure didn’t get a warm feeling, when McCain was so concerned about waterboarding those poor darling terrorists, even if we could find out and prevent their plot to set off a nuke in some US city. (this last part was not asked, but he didn’t want to waterboard them under any circumstances, also McCain authored and pushed through a “terrorist protection bill”, that prohibits even “degrading” treatment of even enemy combattants.)
Lets start with getting admin to fix your title spelling.
Ahhh, don’t be concerned. I think CNN did the republicans a favor. It looked like completely planted questions!! Most people don’t support a flaming general. LOL
Some of the You Tube questions were good? But every question Guliani and Romney got to answer. Fred T., John McCain, and Huckabee were in between.
Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo, and Duncan Hunter in a 2 hour debate got about 6 questions each which is 3 questions per hour.
Having a Hillary plant in the audience shows CNN’s bias, they knew the guy is helping Hillary.

It's CNN. They want to take out the (R) Frontrunners and let a weaker candidate run.
You got a point.
Except the front runners ARE the weak candidates...
