These are Henry Hyde’s words that I will always treasure:
“When the time comes, as surely it will,
when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment,
Ive often thought, as (Bishop) Fulton Sheen wrote,
that it is a terrible moment of loneliness.
You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God
and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine.
But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone.
I think there be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world
but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world and they will plead for every one who has been in this movement.
They will say to God, ‘Spare him, because he loved us.
And God will look at you and say not, Did you succeed? But Did you try?”
May all the children you tried to save with your eloquent words and actions welcome you into PARADISE today.
It was my privilege to vote for Henry Hyde for Congress.
Gripping words. Like I always say on those who have abortions and yet more abortions...their day will come and they will see just how awful their crime was. Just because the law says it is OK or states say it is OK...guess what? It is NOT Ok...not by a long shot.
Wow... That’s beautiful.
RIP, Mr. Hyde.
