Whoops, wrong paste ... see the post to which I replied for context. Of course, I was only trying to diversify the conversation :)
“Christmas” Trees are a pagan holdover. Give me a break.
My guess is that being Jewish just enabled him to credibly complain. As a liberal, his real goal may have been to attack American traditions and pizz off “the unenlightened”.
May I suggest this moonbat professor is an atheist JINO whose entire "religion" consists of not being a Christian.
The writer at KY3.com added that little bit of “editorial comment.”
I will let the GM of KYTV know about it over lunch next week.
Christmas Trees are a pagan holdover.
Tread carefully.
Atheists probably would go irate over any thought that they are
treading the path of religous pagans.

“For the first time a regional atheist group will display a holiday tree
on the Chester County Courthouse lawn during the winter holidays,
potentially setting a seasonal model for other communities.”
This is what the story looks like NOW!!

SPRINGFIELD Missouri State University administrators decided Thursday morning to put a Christmas tree (not the one in this photo) back in the lobby of Strong Hall, along with other religious holiday symbols. A department head removed the 20-foot tree on Monday after a faculty member who is Jewish complained that it was insensitive to other religions.
After learning about the complaint and the removal of the tree, administrators scheduled a meeting for Friday afternoon to discuss appropriate holiday decorations at the school. That meeting is now canceled.
We decided this is the right thing to do, and I am glad there was widespread agreement about it, President Mike Nietzel said in a news release. Missouri State is an institution at which many different religions are represented, and we try to be sensitive to the many views people hold.
After having had a chance to air this out a bit more and consider the various perspectives of our campus community, I am happy that the Christmas tree will be back up along with the many others that were already on campus. I hope we can have it on display before the end of the day.
Courts have ruled Christmas trees are secular symbols if they do not bear religious decorations. The department head who put the tree up said she didn't use any religious symbols on it.

Too bad it took MSU President Mike Nietzel THREE DAYS to figure this out!
Christian persecution!
Put up a Star of David and leave the Christmas Tree up.
Thanks!
My email:
Merry Christmas!
As an alum and supporter, I am disappointed political correctness is in control as Missouri State University.
Perhaps MSU should go back to being Southwest Missouri State University so everyone will be reminded it is not Massachusetts State University.

Did they bother the Festivus Pole?
Nice email message.
Seems to me when MSU officials meet to discuss appropriate holiday decorations, they need to knwo that Christmas decorations are one of the ways Americans express peace, love and hope.
Individuals who hate Christmas and the symbols of Christmas need professional help.
I would demand that they remove the professor.
I’m Jewish, and I’m offended by the removal of the tree to satisfy this kvetch. He obviously has too much time on his hands.
Thanks NNY. Happy Hanukkah right back atcha...
I am ashamed of some of my fellow Missourians.
Heck, as a kid, we used to go to mother's best friend (who is Catholic) and help decorate their tree. We'd usually schlep our menorah with us (they lived in another state) and we'd all light Chanukah candles if that holiday was going on.
It vouldn't make us a bad poisson? [Old family joke, memorial to those good times]
Would the Prof.’s first name be Mohammed?
I'm OFFENDED everytime I hear "Happy Holidays"
I'm OFFENDED when I cannot find a Christmas card that depicts the birth of Christ or says "Merry Christmas"
I'm OFFENDED that the birth of Christ has been hijacked by the communists that have relegated His birth to a pagan celebration for all.
I'm OFFENDED at what our country's culture has become.
Where do I go to register my complaints?
