You are willfully missing the point. Demographics are not immutable. And demographic TRENDS are not immutable.

So I'll type slowly - this man commands a military force that is actively shaping the demographics of Kosovo, to the detriment of the Serbs. Stating a projected demographic outcome as a "fact", when it is only a fact if enforced by the barrel of a gun, opens him up to all manner of criticism.

Of course it matters what drives the demographics. His soldiers are driving the demographics, and creating "facts" that don't have to be created at all.
