Al Qaeda crushing defeat in Iraq will for sure seriously hurt them worldwide in particular recruiting a large number of people to support their islamic terrorist ideology whether on the battlefield or just in rhetoric.

Our problems with Saudi Arabia are very complicated. Yes most terrorists who go to Iraq are from Saudi Arabia as most terrorists who committed 9/11. The problem is how to deal with Saudi Arabia? If we do not support the Saudi royal family Al Qaeda will take over in Saudi Arabia because their population is very radicalized. In fact Bin Laden most precious price is to remove the Saudi royal family and take over Saudi Arabia because he will control its immensely vast oil resources and because he will control the two holiest site in Islam, Mecca and Medina.

As long as the Muzzies believe it, our boys should keep producing ‘em. Clam up everybody... ;’) If I recall correctly, your view is, bin Laden died in Tora Bora?

Politically, they will need toe tags.

Are you saying, essentially, that AQ has just surrendered in Iraq?

If so, it would qualify as news.

Either way, I’d like to see it in the headlines. But something that big, so obviously in our favor, won’t ever make it into the lamestream news.

Do you agree that Saudi is the center of al qaeda as well as wahabbism?

FWIW, they are the primary source of funding for the "schools" that produce the future terrorists.

“And bin Laden clearly says 9-11 was retaliation for our “killing” of Palestinians and Lebanese. He doesn’t mention the only thing Paul singles out, our bases in Saudi Arabia.”

As I remember, their orignal list of grievences included our “occupation” of Saudi Arabia and the sanctions on Iraq that were killing “millions”. The Palestinian and Lebanese grievance is a very recent addition to Bin Laden’s screed - more an after-thought really.

They have 2 choices...

They can DIP (Die In Place)

or

DWM (Die While Moving)

Looks like they pick #2!

UBL finally is facing the reality. I bet a lot of his entourage have been complaining of how their recruits get captured and squeal on their brethren, leading to more captured or killed.
Iraq is a dangerous place for al Qaeda to be operating out of.

I’m just getting back to reading these posts after being swamped with other things. Thanks X for the apology.

I don’t disagree with the fundamental principles of this war but simply question if our money couldn’t be spent in a better way to accomplish the same purpose. How this president (and Congress) decided to act was entirely appropriate based upon the information provided at the time.

As far as Fred Phelps goes, what a person sows that shall they reap. In Fred’s case God decided that Fred should reap a $11M judgment against him. Since God creates all governing authority for our benefit, Fred can rest in the assurance that this $11M judgment is in accordance with God’s will and for his benefit. I hope God had inspired Fred to have a good insurance policy against having poor theology but I suspect not.

Thanks. Sad when Bin Laden says it before the Democratic Congress.

God protect our troops and keep them safe.
