Doing some of my small part. I already have purchased 2 dozen Thompson bumper stickers for my vehicles and to give to others.

Fred in '08.

I have the luxury of voting in a later primary which means we'll have real polling data to work from (actual votes) and not this made up stuff.

By the time the NJ primary rolls around, we should have a clearer idea of who the real front-runners are.

One of two things has to happen for Fred to win the nomination. He either needs to find a way to rally Christian conservatives behind his candidacy or Giuliani needs to fade to the point that the race comes down to Fred, Romney and Huckabee.

If Hunter and his team had made a convincing case that he was a winner who could capture the GOP base and win the party’s nomination, so many grassroots activists would not have been compelled to seek out Fred Thompson and convince him to make a run for it.

Hunter’s a fine man, a great patriot and an outstanding conservative, escept for a few fiscal flaws. He’s just not much of a candidate, and he hasn’t shown that he can win anywhere except in his home district.

This was clear to those of us who organized the Draft Fred Thompson movement when we did so early in the year. Nothing has changed over the months to convince us that Hunter should be the one to carry the conservative banner for 2008.

Being the most conservative man in the race, an immigration hawk and an Army Ranger is good reason to admire Duncan Hunter. It is not sufficient reason to support him for president. His destiny lies elsewhere, IMO. Hunter is the SECDEF this country needs. It is in that critical position that his experience and miltiary expertise will be of most benefit to the nation.

Vote for him in the primaries if you think he can make a difference. For for most conservatives, there are bigger fish to fry.
