Candidate answers questions, offers prayer (Duncan Hunter)

2008 presidential candidate Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., stopped in Greenwood on Friday to answer questions from residents and pray for U.S. troops, answering to hails of “our next president.”

“You notice she didn’t call for Romney when she said that,” Hunter said after one resident asked to take a photo with the next president.

Hunter embarked on a tour through the historic corridor this week, visiting Pickens, Anderson, Abbeville, McCormick, Greenwood, Edgefield and North Augusta on Thursday and Friday.

In Greenwood, Hunter first stopped at the Greenwood County Courthouse for a “Call to Prayer” for U.S. troops at home and overseas -- after getting turned around at Erskine College and touring Laurens County in an attempt to find better directions to Greenwood.

“I don’t know where we’ve been, but we stopped a lot of places and shook a lot of hands,” Hunter said of the direction-search. “We walked into one restaurant, and one guy looked up and said, That looks like Duncan Hunter.’ I walked over and introduced myself.”

In the article he talks about health care and works in the fence. Good article, read it all. It represents well, the kind of man Duncan Hunter is.

Yes, no doubt. Hunter would be a great VP and possibly the greatest SecDef.

Reagan, Prayer, Troops, DH ((((ping))))

Ellie Litts organized the call to prayer and Hunter’s trip to Greenwood. “The reason we came here is because in 1980, Ronald Reagan came here and stood on these steps,” Litts said of the courthouse. “But the primary reason we’re here is to pray and support the troops. What’s going to give us freedom is faith.”

Fits right in with my tagline - go Hunter! (Yes, I know Ellie Litts said it.....)

“The way to help me win is to make sure the information gets out,” Hunter said. “My problem is name recognition. When we’re able to focus on an audience, we do very well. Right now we’re going to do as much as we can getting that name out.”

There it is....note to self, work even harder.

It is a great opportunity for people to see and meet Duncan Hunter. He handles the Q&A sessions extremely well and it’s a good opportunity for people to realize that there really are that great of men in politics and Hunter is above and beyond any other candidate. It’s so obvious why they fear giving him coverage.

Duncan Hunter is most qualified to be the President and making the decisions so our country can be safe with someone who knows how to lead.

I’m a Duncan Hunter supporter and contributed to his campaign....first time I’ve ever contributed to any campaignls. I just wish he’d get more traction. The MSM just ignore him completely and instead try to push Rudy or one of the others down our throats. Aaargh!

A letter to the editor of your local paper (and others where he is appearing) is a good idea!

You cannot premise your happiness on what the MSM does because you'll be miserable all the time :-)

Hunter does do well when he can focus on a group, and I think will raise a few eyebrows in the caucuses. If we give up now, of course, it will mean the MSM has won...
