McCain reminds me of Jeff Kuehn, a guy in my grade school, who really, really, really wanted to play quarterback and got mad when we wouldn’t let him. Finally, I had to say, “Look, I don’t care how much you wanna play QB, you’re slow, you got no moves, you throw like a girl and without your glasses on you can’t see past the line of scrimmage”!

We had a large case of brats, pork, and Bitberger Pils in the unheated cargo area towards the back.

I knew there was a reason they wouldn't let the media into the air base. BTW, King Khalid is a beautiful airport but there is no maintenance going on. Most of the Arrival/Departure CRTs are burnt out. But I bet the Royal Terminal across the street is in fine shape!

He has comfortable leads in a majority of states holding primaries that day, particularly when you weigh those states by their delegates. In that scenario, if he carries those states and holds on to his narrow lead in Texas, the nomination is as good as his.

How so? If he is only pulling 25% of the vote/delegates, how will he have enought delegates to get the nomination? The primaries are not winner take all affairs. Certainly, he won't have enough delegates to win the nomination on the first ballot. McCain received 33% of the vote in the 2000 primaries.

He’s on vacation, as I understand, though it’s been a bit of a long one, hasn’t it?

Her hubby works for McCain’s campaign, so I always remember that in her opinions.

I think now he works for Romney campaign.

I wonder if you can get pork in Israel probably because there is a Christian community there.

I'm quite sure Porky Pig is available there. Unfortunately, if you have a Israeli visa stamp in your passport, you can't get back into the Magic Kingdom.

"Clinton shut down all of her offices across the U.S."

As I recall, it was "not Presidential" to stay up in Air Force One during the 9/11 attack. President Bush took grief from the DBM for not returning to DC while the human missiles were still raining down. It seems to me that closing all of her offices when only one was attacked is a similar faux pas for Her Highness. I'm sure we'll hear this on the news for the next few months not..

Somehow, though, I just can’t stand him.

Agreed, Bahbah. I find him just creepy.

Christina Vanden Heuvel

Now I know how Neal Gabler looks and acts when he dresses up like a woman. Christina is a very unpleasant person, isn't she? I wonder what factor in her life made her turn out like that. Maybe she shares a gene with James Carville.

She's probably a heavy smoker. I smoked two packs a day for 33 years. Quit on a bet when Pres Bush beat John F'n Kerry. I had a constant cough for the last ten - fifteen years as a smoker. I didn't even notice, as it happened gradually, but I would cough and hack myself to sleep and wake up the same. Horse and choking a lot. Since quitting; I do not anymore.

I rarely choke or cough now. I do notice that.

Another reason GWB’s move was better was it was tiny, momentary and incredibly eloquent. It was gentle, no meaness there. Sort of like “I cannot be mean to this unblievable dweeb”. It couldn’t offend anyone but clearly, Bush “got” what Gore was. It was lovely.

"Remember when Algore, the stalker, snuck up behind GWB during one of the 2000 debates, in an attempt to prove by that action that he (Gore) was, indeed, the alpha male?"

Yes, and I am laughing about it all over, again. Bush totally destroyed Gore, by just standing there with a funny look on his face and laughing at him for doing it.

You will happy to know that my new home in Riyadh (Western compound)offers BBC World; it's a step up from Al-Jazeera!

Also, I get CNN World so I can actually watch one of the Sunday News shows (Wolfie's Late Edition) with the gang.
