Pair offer historical truths about Jewish, Arab territory
Philadephia Inquirer ^ | 12/02/07 | Ruth R. Wisse

--snip-- The issue of how far back one should go in Jewish and Arab history to develop principles of fairness, like the issue of which real estate principles ought to apply in the Mideast imbroglio (Who got there first? Who lived there last? Who sold what to whom? Should victors of war keep territory won in war? What's a "reasonable" division of all land in dispute?), gets little airtime. --snip-- the Islamic and Arabic character of every Mideast nation outside of present-day Saudi Arabia is the blunt result of military conquest - the greatest imperialistic taking of other people's lands by force in history, a "tale of cruelty and destruction."

As Kennedy puts it, "there is nothing inevitable about the Arab/Islamic identity of the Middle East. . . . Most of the population of Syria spoke Greek or Aramaic; most of those in Iraq, Persian or Aramaic; in Egypt they spoke Greek or Coptic; in Iran, they spoke Pahlavi; in North Africa, they spoke Latin, Greek or Berber. None of them were Muslims

"... outside of present-day Saudi Arabia.."?

The Saudi family, known to me as the organized Saudi Family crime syndicate, captured Arabia in war against the other tribes. They did this by buttering up the British. Ever since then the Saud family has been reaping the benefit.

The muzzl’ems have a lot more to ‘give back’ than the Jews do. So, let’s start with them showing their good intentions by giving back everything islam won in war.

the Islamic and Arabic character of every Mideast nation outside of present-day Saudi Arabia is the blunt result of military conquest - the greatest imperialistic taking of other people's lands by force in history, a "tale of cruelty and destruction."

Degenerate exercises such as "Oslo", "Annapolis", "Wye Oak", and "the Quartet" have no meaning until The Big Lie of Muslim Arabs is toppled once and for all, or at least rejected by the West.

The Big Lie states that Muslim Arabs have some kind of "right" to Israel and Jerusalem which surpasses that of other people including the Jews, which of course they do not (their sole spiritual connection to Jerusalem is Mighty Mo's alleged dream on the top of the Temple Of David).

In any case the entire "Palestine" question is a red herring which the West must utterly disregard The Big Lie if there's any desire for peace in the Middle East.Gee, isn't the same argument we had with the Muslims during the Crusades?

Most people don’t realize that this is a family quarrel. It goes all the way back to Jacob and Esau, brothers. Begin at Genesis Chapter 25.

This argument has continued since then.

Thanx for post.Jews deserve a homeland-aka Israel-period.If my history is correct-Jews did not leave the ME(ie area known as Israel)willingly.IOW’s they have a legal right to land that was their’s to begin with. What i cannot fathom is why there is so much resistance to the state of Israel, and why so many semmingly intelligent people prefer to support a bunch of uncivilized barbarians(aka Pali’s).

I’d say about the same time as Israelis did. Except that through Romans and people like Hitler, the Israelites did not flourish as well.

the Islamic and Arabic character of every Mideast nation outside of present-day Saudi Arabia is the blunt result of military conquest

Why exclude Arabia?

their sole spiritual connection to Jerusalem is Mighty Mo's alleged dream on the top of the Temple Of David

Which, I believe, was interpreted by some other guy about 60 years after MooHamHead died. Certainly sounds like a legitimate claim on Jerusalem to me.

Most people don’t realize that this is a family quarrel. It goes all the way back to Jacob and Esau, brothers. Begin at Genesis Chapter 25.

I think it goes even further back than that. Abraham had two sons, Issac and Ishmael, by his wife Sarai and her Egyptian handmaiden Hagar. Sarai later had Hagar and Ishmael expelled.

Gen 16:5 And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the LORD judge between me and thee.

Speaking of Ishmael, the forerunner of the Arabs:

Gen 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
