I wonder if you've ever been present at tests of these sorts. I have, you know like at Edwards Air Force Base, et al. Trust me. Something other than what has been reported occurred. If I had to guess I'd say aborted takeoff, or some braking test that failed. (The latter seems less likely to me as the braking tests I've been involved with were specifically done at Edwards so if the brakes didn't work the plane would just coast into the desert. And you don't start at full speed either!)

You will notice that the emergency exits are located at the front, rear and over the wings.....and the large gapping hole that will be made on initial impact.

the A340-600 jumped the chocks
This is what happens when you buy cheap Chinese chocks instead of quality American chocks. Probably had lead-based paint on 'em too. Taxpayer concerns are well-grounded--the purchasing agents are flying blind.
Frankly, this disaster surely came as quite a chock for those trying to save a few francs or Moor.
DON'T CALL ME FRANK any Moor .... AND DON'T CALL ME SHIRLEY!
