SMITHDALE --A Mississippian who lost both legs in Iraq has married his girlfriend in a hospital-room ceremony.

Army Spec. Josh A. Wells, 21, married Brandi M. Clark, 19, in a Nov. 20 ceremony at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Wells was injured in a Nov. 2 attack on the Stryker Light Armored Vehicle he was driving.

A name is a name and yours is beautiful. What’s more important is what’s in your heart. Your story brought tears to this crusty old sailor’s eyes. Your husband gave so much more to his country than most anybody else, and this comes from a 20 year Navy vet.

May God bestow his loving grace and blessings on you two and your marriage.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Originally from the coast of NC (10th generation). Been living in Norfolk, VA since the Navy transferred me there in 1978.

BTW, I have a cousin who lives somewhere in the San Antonio area. Freepmail me if you want name, I don’t have address.

BEATITUDES OF MARRIAGE

Blessed are the husband and wife who continue to be affectionate, considerate, and loving after the wedding bells have ceased ringing.

Blessed are the husband and wife who are as polite and courteous to one another as they are to their friends.

Blessed are they who love their mates more than any other person in the world, and who joyfully fulfill their marriage vow of a lifetime of fidelity and mutual helpfulness to one another.

Blessed are they who attain parenthood, for children are a heritage of the Lord.

Blessed are they who remember to thank God for their food before they partake of it, and who set apart some time each day for the reading of the Bible and for prayer.

Blessed are those mates who never speak loudly to one another, and who make their home a place “where seldom is heard a discouraging word.”

Blessed are the husband and wife who faithfully attend the worship service of the church, and who work together in the church for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom.

Blessed are the husband and wife who can work out the problems of adjustment without interference from relatives.

Blessed is the couple which has complete understanding about financial matters, and have worked out a perfect partnership, with all money under the control of both.

Blessed are the husband and wife who humbly dedicate their lives and their homes to Christ, and who practice the teachings of Christ in the home by being unselfish, loyal and loving.

PS: Free Republic is about the BEST FAMILY you could ask for if you can’t be at home.

There are “Freepers” in San Antone that I KNOW would be happy to help you out finding a place, job etc.

FREEPERS take care of each other.
Just look for the Texas location and send some emails to them...

Have a wonderful life together!

Please pray on this day, and every day, for our Patriot Armed Forces standing in harm's way around the world in defense of our liberty, and for the families awaiting their safe return.

RE: “What’s wrong with my name?”

The answer is ...nothing. What IS wrong is some folks on this board who feel the need to fire off smartassed remarks, no matter what. Ignore them.

I join in welcoming you to the board and thanks to grok for the ping.

My 18 year old son just yesterday swore his oath for the USMC reserves, so my support for our troops has become very personal.
