We’re only now getting to the end of the pre-game show. Wait until the voting starts, then pray the Republicans vote for the conservative.

I watched the debate CNN debate and came away impressed by ALL of the candidates. Ron Paul is even far less insane in person than as characterized by his opponents. All of them have something to like. All of then seem to have some problems. Huck looks to be one of the best. Maybe too populist.

My biggest concern is we have far too many candidates, some of which have never had any percentage in the polls. When the voting starts, I fear we will get the worst one instead of the best. The media keeps adding to the confusion because they know a large number of candidates favors a poor outcome for us.

The fact is, the per-capita tax burden for Arkansas citizens went up 47%(!) under Huckabee. Arkansas was number 30 among the 50 states for per capita state and local tax burden when Huckabee took office. When he left office, Arkansas had the 13th highest per capita tax burden in the country.

The Cato Institute gave Huckabee a "D" on taxes and spending for his tenure in office. In 2006, they ranked Huckabee the worst governor in the nation on tax policy.

His record is not just so-so on tax-and-spend issues -- it's awful.

So do I. Of the two thoroughly conservative men in the race, only one has ever polled above the MOE.

Then there's the rest . . .

JMO, if the Cato Institute had been in exisitence back when Reagan was running they would have given Reagan a D for his raising taxes in California.

Again JMO, I think American voters are disregarding and have disdain for the overpaid eggheads in political thinktanks, as they do now for the teacher union goons of the NEA.

Just seems to me that you should be able to cut enough Clinton waste that you could pave the roads with gold!

Daneo1,
What are you talking about? The NEA and their goons love Mike Huckabee.
