Q: Give us a glimpse of what President Bush is like in person?
A: President Bush is a very charming and friendly man. In person, he is very considerate of his guests. He is genuinely interested in those that he visits with and is very active in conversation. The President is largely misrepresented by the media, in person he is articulate in conversation.
Q: What is it like serving in the U.S. Congress?
A: Serving in the U.S. Congress is the greatest honor I have ever received by the people of Tennessee. It is a responsibility that I do not hold lightly. Each and every day I get up with thoughts of how I best can do my job of helping to preserve our freedoms, free enterprise and help to make our communities safer.
Q: What do you like and dislike about serving in the U.S. Congress? Why?
A: I like having the ability to bring the interests of the 7th District to Congress. I know that it is my responsibility to bring Tennessee to Washington and not visa-versa. I dislike the hassles of constant travel back and forth from Washington and I regret that I cannot spend more time in the district.
Q: I know you have been very outspoken about many true conservative issues. Which one is the most important issue to you? Why?
A: Illegal immigration is the most important issue facing the district right now. The crisis has the potential to adversely affect our economy as well as strain our law enforcement agencies.

Marsha Blackburn is my representative, and I am fairly pleased about it. But it does keep me out of touch - or more precisely, without influence - over the Dem congresscritter that used to be my rep.
