Iraq: Al-Qaeda leader launches new security campaign

Baghdad, 4 Dec. (AKI) - The leader of the Islamic State in Iraq, the al-Qaeda linked group forced on the defensive by its tribal allies, has called for a renewed bombing campaign against Iraqi security forces.

In a new 42-minute audio message released on Islamist websites on Tuesday, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi asked his men to carry out attacks against members of the Iraqi police and army till the end of January.

"Every soldier in our group must carry and explode at least three bombs by that date," said al-Baghdadi in the tape.

"These bombs should hit the unbelievers who wear uniforms and all those who fight alongside the occupiers," he said.

Al-Baghdadi also insulted members of the Sunni tribal militias who attacked his men.

Angered by months of deadly attacks against Iraqis who fail to follow their hardline interpretations of Islam, some Sunni tribes have turned against the al-Qaeda militants they once backed.

Al Qaida can’t provide a real man due to lack of human resource, full of cowards to have one, and since it is likely such new leader will be gone in months after captured or killed.
