Since you seem to have had your head in the ground let me remind you of a few salient facts:

1. It was the GOP under the leadership of GWB that tried to foist the Illegal Alien Amnesty down our throats.
2. It was the GOP under the leadership of GWB that refused to reign in spending and thus ruined the fine reputation that predecessors in the GOP had struggled to maintain. 3. It was GWB who seemed to have misplaced his Veto Pen! 4. We have now been suffering under Democratic Leadership, and all the crap that comes from that, for over a year now.

Fred is right, the country is heading in the wrong direction!

Yes. In my opinion, this country has been marching into liberalism and socialism regardless of the party in control. I see this as the wrong track. We need a "bedrock conservative" that will fight back against liberalism wherever it rears its ugly head.
