Al Qaeda Confession: Only 200 Foreign Terrorists are left in Iraq.
December 4 2007 | jveritas

Posted on 12/04/2007 7:22:21 PM PST by jveritas

In his speech released yesterday Abou Omar Al Baghdadi the supposed leader of the Islamic State in Iraq which is Al Qaeda in Iraq said that only two hundered Mohajeroon are left in Iraq. Mohajeroon which means immigrants in Arabic are the foreign terrorists who came to fight in Iraq. This is yet the most stunning admission by Al Qaeda in Iraq that they are totally destroyed and from the tens of thousands of foreign terrorists they had, almost all of them are killed and captured and only two hundreds are left.

This is the quote translation of what Al Baghdadi said in his latest speech: “… with all that, the Mouhajeron in Mesopotamia left the world and went quickly to meet their lord after they sacrificed their money and their blood sometimes in the martyrdom operations and sometimes by throwing themselves in front of the enemy that only two hundreds Mouhajeron are left today in our beloved Iraq…"

We won this war.

God bless President Bush and all our brave troops.

My interpretation is a bit different. Yes, it’s good news. From the Iranian view, Iraq is lost, and we have troops in Iraq that could attack Iran and destroy their nuclear weapons program. Those troops are no longer tied down by violence in Iraq, so the Iranians want us to declare victory and go home, leaving an active Iranian nuclear weapons program that is close to mass production (3 months to 3 years).

We are not leaving Iraq despite that we won there. The Iraqi government wants the US to have permanent military bases in Iraq.

Anyone think this could be a disinfo campaign on the part of the terrorists? I am skeptical of every word out of their lying mouths.

I agree, Let's be skeptical of the enemy. When there are no more press releases by the enemy we will know that Victory is close.

As long as there is one enemy with a computer left alive, or access to enemy media, there will still be press releases. And that is STILL victory!

"...he called for every terrorists left in Iraq to use at least 3 bombs to attacks Iraqi and US forces including the Sunnis who turned against Al Qaeda, according to the speech this new wave of terrorist attacks will end on January 21 2008."

I noted in an earlier thread that the terrorists weren't surging very well. I cited some stats back then to show that while Al Qaeda was able to ramp up, that they were never able to ramp up enough to matter, and that they couldn't sustain even those feeble increases for long.

I speculated that based on the stats of the past 6 months that Al Qaeda *was* surging already...that what was left of their forces was doing everything that they could (even though their overall lethality was declining each month).

And here lies an insurmountable problem for Al Qaeda: they were surging in the past 6 months in order to make it appear as though they hadn't been damaged as much as reality would dictate, and their history shows that they can't keep up such efforts for long...which means that their lethality is about to drop off of a cliff.

It's like they have been playing 11-man football with only 8 men; those 8 men were sprinting in order to make a game of it, but they can only sprint for so long. Now they are down to just 2 men ... and those 2 can't even sprint any longer.

It's over. Al Qaeda has been defeated. I'm confident that U.S. casualties in Iraq will plummet in December and January even though Al Qaeda is speechifying for a grand "surge" of their own in public.

Won't happen. Not on the ground where it counts.

"So the terrorist flypaper theory was valid after all? Will Bush’s opponents apologize to him?"

You must be kidding. Being a liberal means never having to say you are sorry.

You have been one of the most decisive rhetorical forces in favor of our troops since the beginning of the Iraq war.

Thanks so much for your great work.

Yep, if you keep on killing them they will eventually go away. Too bad we can’t now use that same method on our enemies here in Congress.

Maybe only 200 AQ foreign Terrorists. How about the Iranians> They are not AQ but they have more dangerous fish to fry than even AQ.

Yes the statement by Baghdadi only refers to Al Qaeda foreign non Iraqi terrorists. The Iranian terrorist regime is mainly operating in proxy style in Iraq using shia terrorist militias mainly the Mahdi Army (Jaish Al Mahdi) that are led by Al Sadr . Now for the last six months Al Sadr and his terrorist militia were laying low and I believe that they are not going to rise again.

You said:
“AQI is a media monster that can’t survive without camera time.”

What a profound and truth-filled statement! The sorry-a$$ world media has been feeding this very same monster for years. What a cash cow for them. Wonder where they are going to go now....

Sadly, talk to any liberal, and they will tell you that there has been no progress in Iraq and the troops should immediately be withdrawn. The liberals have lost. Our brave men and women and all who have supported this war have won.

Amen. The traitors here at home and the terrorists abroad have bet everything they have on America’s defeat in Iraq, they are now both utterly defeated.
