Today the Orlando Sentinel has an article about Down-Payment Assistance programs for Orange County, Florida.

The assistance will
1. Range from $20,000 to $35,000 depending on househole income.
2. Be provided to the buyer’s closing agent at closing in the form of a “soft” second mortgage at O% interest, TO BE FORGIVEN after 15 years if the home remains owner-occupied.
3. Not be allowed to exceed 105% of the property’s appraised value when combined with the first mortgage amount.
