I would submit that what ultimately and utterly degrades that tiny human life is the widespread propaganda that it is not a human life at all, just a worthless clump of cells to be scraped away and washed down a garbage disposal.
If the graphic display of the sacrifice of that tiny human life to the gods of convenience and expediency changes hearts and minds such that this slaughter can be curtailed, if it influences a single pregnant teen to doubt the lies she was told by the abortion industry and spare the life of her child, then isn't it worth some inconvenience and discomfort?
To ones who have said to me "But I couldn't carry a child for 9 months and then give it away to strangers!" I say "But could you bear to have it ripped, piece by piece from your womb?". I said this to one of my daughters friends whose mom has a "keep abortion legal" bumpersticker. (She was 15 and full of questions about sex and religion..old enough for honest discussion)
To add to what you just said, my dad and I were discussing this issue recently and how the religious right has been WAY too dependent on politicians to do what we as Christians need to be doing.
The battle to stop abortions will be fought one heart and mind at a time. It is up to Christians to get out and do that by talking to girls and providing them with information.
We need to quit listening to and believing any politican who claims he/she is going to overturn R v. W.
It ain’t gonna happen. They will say whatever it takes to get your vote and then move on and turn their backs on you.
God does not want Christians to be lazy and complacent and depend on the government to do wht we should be doing.
