I saw your mayor on tv. He couldn’t even answer about a vigil being planned with any specificity. Mayor Dembulb? He didn’t show any emotion at all. He didn’t exhibit any leadership qualities either.
Depends on where. I think anyone in a mall carrying an exposed rifle should be hit first, immediately and hard with the first heavy object available.
Nebraska has no laws about dangerous people and what to do with them? rhetorical.
They locked all the exits at the mall. Is that a good idea for the people inside or wouldn’t it be better to give people an escape through the exits? I’d hate to be locked in a place like that. I’d rather run for it.
We don’t know if the shooter visited any jihad sites or whatever. When somebody’s as criminally insane as he was, he could have fueled his obsessions through many diabolical sources.
Yep, he’s a real hack. Spends money like it grows on trees. In another 10 years, taxes are going to be so high that all of the taxPAYERS will leave. Fortunately the majority of our city council is fairly conservative, but we’re still in the mist of incremental socialism.
I was just posting elsewhere on this too. I just figured out that they can post what they want, but “concealed is conceled” :) LOL
You’re still better off re: taxes than in Florida. People are moving here but people are also moving out.
Our Local Mall has UN-Armed guards and restricts any one from bring a firearm into the mall.
“This is about the criminally insane, and they can be any color.”
His picture would indeed be all over the place no matter what color. But you claimed that if he were white that fact would still be highlighted by all the MSM. You have yet to show where that’s happened.
Well, that’ll stop ‘em!
Now the gun-controller’s will try to steal the guns from everyone who DIDN’T do this shooting!
Oh, hold on one minute. We pay state income tax, and we also pay property tax, on homes, vehicles, boats, RV’s, combines, tractors, etc. A 3200 sq. ft. house, built in 1992, typical 4 bedroom suburban home, costs $4600/year in property tax. A new vehicle, you pay 7% sales tax, and then likely another $1500-$2000 in property tax, just to get your license plates. I doubt that many of the fleeing Floridians are destined for Omaha, and not just because the weather sucks too.
That’s enough. I thought this was jihad and they do jail conversions. Now, we are done. You are somewhat annoying.
Well, I don’t have a combine but my cousins do.
The victims are very traumatized and who did it is of little concern to them. They are traumatized, suffering and their lives are changed forever.
Those victims are gonna be afraid to grocery shop or go places. They are going to need lots of aftercare.
If a state, or even the federal government, passes a law to either forbid concealed carry, or to have a regimen for issuing permits for the same, it does not violate the 2nd Amendment, provided open carry is legal without restriction. Likewise, if a state decided that folks seeing guns was a problem for public order, a law forbidding open carry would not violate the 2nd Amendment, provided concealed carry (and use in self-defense or the defense of public safety or order--as a member of the 'unorganized militia' as Virginia's laws term it) was permitted without restriction.
David, this is YOUR OPINION. It is not a fact, and certainly NOT what the Constitution says.
Concealed weapons, or NOT, the “right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” — that means that federal law, Congress specifically can not set laws across the board.
As for whether a gun is concealed or not, it’s an infringement on my right to carry a weapon on my person if I have to go out and get a “permit” to do so.
Any criminal can carry a weapon on his or her person without a permit, and many do. They don’t get in trouble for it unless they get caught, do they? If they walk into a mall with a loaded rifle and start firing that makes them a criminal. This kid had a legal weapon (as far as I know). He was at least 18 years of age and thus able to purchase a gun if he wanted to (I under stand it was his Dad’s though).
I think you and I are agreeing to some extent on this, but have a disagreement about laws. The Constitution is the highest law of the land, period. States have states rights granted them, but CAN NOT TAKE AWAY RIGHTS GIVEN BY THE CONSTITUTION, period. And yet they do, and rarely do people challenge these laws.
I DO have a right to carry my weapon with me anywhere I want, and no one can tell me NOT to do so. Instead some muckbrains have gotten around this by passing other kinds of laws. My RIGHT to own and CARRY (bear) weapons is absolute. Period. I know, I’ve defended that right for over 30 years as a military person and working with and for the government in various capacities.
There are some federal laws on the books preventing me from carrying a weapon on federal property - and I concede I do not. But, I EXPECT that Security Forces better stop a bullet with their vests intended for me, or there’s going to be one bloody hell big lawsuit from my family on the subject.
I would expect ANY civilian who is killed on a military installation by a bad guy WHO IS CARRYING A GUN to rip the government to absolute shreds if it ever happens.
Those who don’t are the cowards.
Not in a gun-free mall.
