Avoid the mall, but if you must go carry. Don't pay attention to the "no weapons" signs. The bad guys don't pay attention, why should you. Concealed means concealed. Unless something happens nobody knows your armed, and if something does happen it's better to be armed then disarmed.
I’ve been assaulted twice in the mall where I live. Once in the ladies dressing room, when a crazed person kicked in the door (no locks on the door either). NO mall is safe. This year a woman was carjacked at the same mall. They’ve become hangouts for gangs and bored teenagers and the parking lots serve as opportunities for predators.
