Poll: Clinton Has Single-Digit Lead Over Obama in N.H.(Hillary 35%; Obama 29%)

Hillary Rodham Clinton holds only a single-digit lead over Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) in the Democratic primary in New Hampshire, a state her campaign has viewed as a potential firewall should she stumble in the Iowa caucuses, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Clinton is widely seen as the party's best experienced and most electable presidential candidate, but with most Democratic voters in the state looking for a fresh approach to governing, the first-in-the-nation primary has become fiercely competitive.

With Iowa shaping up as a competitive three-way contest among Clinton, Obama and Edwards, Clinton now also faces a pitched battle in a state with a history of disappointing national front-runners. In the early fall, Clinton led Obama and the rest of the Democratic field by more than 20 points in a University of New Hampshire/CNN/WMUR poll.

If Obama wins big In Iowa then you can throw NH into at least a toss up. I still don’t see him taking her out but his campaign is going to raise her unfavorable rating even further than it already is and give the Republicans things to hammer her on.

As Obama gains, it will cause her to become more shrill, bombastic, and unglued.

At the very least Osama Obama seems to be getting quite organized in NH. At my city’s winter festival a couple of weeks ago, Main Street was teeming with Obama people, while I only saw a couple of sad-sack Hillary stooges. Anecdotal evidence, so take it for what it’s worth.

I am so looking forward to that.

Clinton's New Hampshire team is working to insulate her from a possible loss in Iowa, and the deep roots that she and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, have put down in New Hampshire over the past 16 years appear to provide her a foundation at this point that her rivals do not enjoy.

This is good. The more the Dims attacking each other, the better it will be for the Republicans. I still think Hillary will get the nomination. So, if Obama & Edwards can put more fights against her in the primaries that leave even more scars, the better for us.

If she loses IA and NH, look for Bill to come out and start “chiding” people. Oh, my!
Seriously, I can’t think of too many people less fit to be President than Queen Hillary.

I think if Obama wins IA and NH, you will see, on the REPUBLICAN side, a distinct shift to Thompson or Huckabee as more conservative alternatives. A Hillary victory in both, on the other hand, will strengthen Rudy and McCain.

HOW TO START EACH DAY WITH A POSITIVE OUTLOOK

1. Create a new file folder on your computer.
2. Name it ‘Hillary Rodham Clinton’.
3. Drag it to the recycle bin.
4. Empty the recycle bin.
5. Your PC will ask you, ‘Do you really want to get rid of ‘Hillary Rodham Clinton?’
6. Firmly Click ‘Yes.’
7. Feel better instantly.

I said a year ago that I hope that the Obama/Hillary fight is nasty, dirty and fractuous. I hope it’s gets so close that Hillary continues her nasty attacks against Obama and starts offending blacks. I also hope that it comes down to a few African American delegates and Hillary tries to get them disqualifed because she know they are for Obama. (Just like when Al Gore tried to disqualify Florida military ballots in 2000.)

I want this fight to be like the “Thrilla in Manilla”.

This after she looked “regal” and “presidential” at the same time after the Puny Bomber event last week?
