I didn't. I think there must be some middleground between pursuing and punishing only your political enemies with a vengeance like the Clintons' did, and refusing to investigate anything except the transgressions of those who have supported you while giving a pass to those who wish to do you in.
I have serious doubts that the Clintons would have done anything but ignore Nifong since he is one of their own.
Of course he would have. Bill and George both protect Democrats, especially if they are in government. There isn’t a Democrat bureaucrat or politician corrupt enough for either of them to prosecute. Instead they prefer to go after border patrol agents, and gun owners. Prosecutions by both justice departments were/are usually political. They have more in common with each other than not.
The only way the Bush DOJ would prosecute Nifong is if the La Cross players had been illegal aliens, and the only way a Clinton DOJ would have prosecuted Nifong is if he had been a gun owner.
