What is this fixation in some circles with trying to use hunting as a test for RKBA/2A positions? Like church attendance, hunting seems to politically serve as another stupid $12 neon sign. This vapid "connection" spawns all sorts of stupidity on the road to Des Moines.
"I have hunted varmints more than two times!"
- Romney
"Can I get me a hunting license here?"
- Kerry
I mean, egads man. It is both saddening and insulting.

It is both saddening and insulting. Saddening and insulting to us, and insulting to the Founders and the Constitution as well!
And if they're watching, I'll bet they're sad, too...

Jon Cary shoots doves every chance he gets - wonder how many he shot in 2007 and did he enjoy them cold roasted at picnics with Teresa??

Yep. It all goes back to John F’n Kerry and that moronic “Can I get me a huntin’ license here” episode. John F’n established the test that having a hunting license is a bona fide test for support of the 2A. CNN bought the story then, and they are buying it still.
But, as hard as I look, I have never seen any mention of ducks in the US Constitution.
