SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - A hidden camera investigation conducted by NewsChannel 5 revealed Springfield’s biggest employer may be the biggest offender when it comes to hiring undocumented immigrants.

Electrolux is one of the largest manufacturing plants in Middle Tennessee.

It employs thousands of workers.

But a NewsChannel 5 investigation uncovered some disturbing facts about many of those employees.

From city leaders to factory employees, several people said the same thing about Electrolux. They said illegal immigrants, not Americans, comprise a large portion of its workforce.

I’m not a fan of police officers but, if I were a cop, I wouldn’t want to get involved in the whole illegals mess for one very simple reason: The feds lock up their own agents for doing their jobs so how much quicker are they going to lock up some local cop? The illegals are also quite prone to violence when stopped and any cop could find himself in a federal jam for defending himself. Until the leadership at the top, including the president and the Justice Department, has a reliable policy, I’d stay out of it if I were a local cop.
