I agree. Fred should give several major speeches on conservatism and federalism, and exactly why he's the best candidate in the race. Many folks would watch and listen with serious intent. It would hearken back to days of Ronald Reagan`s substantive policy speeches and his plan for the future agenda of America. Right now outside of Fred, no one has offered concrete policy inititives in this race.

Romney's speech yesterday was frivolous and designed to offset the Hucksters rise in Iowa.

Could be but I do find it refreshing that Mitt does fight. I am afraid that Fred will continue to do his policy statements on his website and not get out there and do something like Mitt did. What will Fred do as President when he needs to express something to the American people...do something on the website. No Fred needs to act as President NOW and get in front of the cameras and do as you say a policy speech. In fact, he should announced that on Sunday night at 7:30 he will speak for 30 minutes on policy and have all the cameras get out there. This might make a difference. The problem of course is he is 9 percent. I don’t know whatever else he can do.

Serious question here. A few days ago Fred supporters seemed happy that Huckabee was rising, the thought being he would stop Romney’s momentum.

Now that Huckabee is ranked #1, and may in fact take Iowa AND South carolina, do you think anybody will be hoping Romney takes Huckabee down, rather than the other way around?
