Mumia was observed by at least one eyewitness, who watched as Mumia shot the officer, was shot in return, fell in the street, was placed in a squad car and then identified by that same eyewitness on the spot, who never lost sight of Mumia throughout the entire incident.

Mr. Abu-Jamal also confessed his guilt in front of witnesses. And his own brother was a witness who was never called by the defense.

This case is as certain as it comes, the only thing they didn’t have was to get it on videotape.

Abu-Jamal’s appeals have all been on technicalities, he has never testified even once that he didn’t do it.
