Revelation 22:18 “ I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book.” Mormons consider the Scriptures as flawed and the Book Of Mormon as a more worthy source of inspiration. Mormonisn is a CULT. LDS claims to be Christian....this is a ruse to make them more acceptable to inquirers who are sucked into their culture. I have a problem with Joseph Smith and his magical glasses “Urim and Thummin” which allowed him to decipher the magical tablets. The Christian God does not use magic! Mormonism is a cult! Romney is a good man. He is not God’s man. The main problem with Mormonism is that their adherents will because of their belief system not find salvation and eternal life in Heaven.

“Revelation 22:18”

It was not a declaration that there would be no more scripture. After John wrote it he went on to write some other parts of the New Testament.

It was a command to men to not alter what was in Revelation and it in no way bars God from providing more scripture. A similar command is found in Deut 4:2.

Revelation 22:18 “ I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book.”

The first place this is stated in the Bible is Deuteronomy 4:2.

Are we to discard all the Bible beyond that?

Revelation 22:18 “ I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book.”

Love it when people post this verse. It points directly to their ignorance of the how the Bible was written, compiled, and when the books of the New Testament were written.

The Book of Revelations was written before many of the other books in the New Testament. So those other books were added after Revelations was written. Revelations was also a stand-alone document until compiled into the Bible along with most of what we know of the Bible today.

So by adding those other books that appear in the New Testament does that mean that "God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book." Not good for Bible publishers.

Quoting that verse is actually a pretty rookie mistake people make when trying to refute the LDS Church.
