Please tell me why there are some self-declared Mormons even now who claim polygamy is good. They claim they are just following the prophetical declarations of Joseph Smith.

This is the most misunderstood LDS doctrine by both Mormons & non-Mormons alike.

So I'm glad you said self-declared Mormons even now who claim polygamy is good.

Frankly speaking, most Mormons have to believe that polygamy is still good. For them to believe in a celestial kingdom where polygamy is supposedly still practiced by those who embraced it on earth, can you imagine a Mormon thinking...?

"Yup, when I die I'm going to go right up to Joseph & Brigham & tell them & their wives right to their faces that polygamy was immoral, unlawful, exploitive, etc.!!!"

(Yeah, right)

That's why the LDS Doctrine & Covenants never condemns polygamy, never retracts it, never recants it, never implies God even changed his mind about its worthiness. The 1890 change is not worded as a "new revelation"; rather it's simply a "declaration" that it's halted (on colony earth only).

Very interesting, Elsie. Just think, Joseph and Brigham are supposedly gods on their own planets practicing polygamy with their numerous wives as we speak. What role models they are! Which Mormon who denies polygamy now will come out and openly condemn their behavior and teachings on polygamy?

*crickets*
