I respectfully disagree with your position that Bush deserves “most not” about the flak.

He has made Tancredo personna non grattis from almost day one. He has called the Minutemen vigilantes.

He has refused to follow through with what he wanted done while he was governor of Texas: have immigration laws enforced. He has not made it his agenda to make it happen, as the PEOPLE and this country needs and requires. Instead, he has his attorneys aggressively pursue those in Law Enforcement who have tried to make it happen. Signals sent and delivered.

Bush has reduced funding/people on the border. He limited their ability to defend our borders; commands were issued to “retreat” from the border given hostile situations with illegals and/or Mexican army personnel on U.S. Soil. He listens to and follows what Mexican leaders want.

Bush is very wrong on his border and immigration stances.

He falsely calls Islam a religion of peace and promotes that false claim.

For these things, and more, that he has said and done, he deserves more than coals upon his head.

I do not disagree with anything you noted, problem is, it's no different than what was done for the last 150 years in Texas.

Do I like it or agree with it? Not really, but to put all (or most of) the blame on him is a bit much and not being realistic since the problem has existed, and was untouched, by approximately 30 of his predecessors.
