My two sons are both adopted. I’ve taught them that if we take in an animal, we are forever responsible for that life. Even if the critter turns out to be a pain in the rear end, we will be faithful to fulfill our obligations.

We have the same policy in our home. Of course, our obligation might consist of finding it another home, or having it put down if it's dangerous.

God bless you! I have many friends who have adopted Korean children and they are all model families.

I AGREE!! I have a cat we took in 10 years ago. She has dementia or something and keeps pooping and peeing on the outside of the box, then try to ‘cover it up’ from inside the box. As much as I’m ashamed I think while cleaning it up “DIE CAT DIE!!”. But since my father also has dementia and I can’t scream that while cleaning up his similiar mess, I feel I am just stuck. If she did die, I’d miss the hell out of her.

Good for you. That’s the way I raised my children, as well.

Talk about the throw-away mentality....

What if the animal turns rabid? Can you shoot it in the head with the .22?
