The thing is, it’s a never-ending cycle. Reporters jump to conclusions, the public hears it and concludes that all mass killings are caused by ‘automatic assault rifles’, then when one of them witnesses an event he tells reporters it was an ‘automatic assault rifle’ because the witness thinks that’s what it always is. It’s like a self-fulfilling misinformation prophesy.
740 AM radio reports “Two gunmen One is shot dead the other taken into custody inside the church. Three taken to hospital one in critical condition. Not believed to be connected to Denver shooting.”

Roger, I understand. I don't mean to cause any trouble. And you not knowing what an IED is doesn't make you stupid or unintelligent - not in the least. I haven’t been on FR much at all since the beginning of fall. Periodically here and there, but it’s been extremely limited. Whatever acronyms I may have known has gone out the window if I’ve not used it lately; too much on my mind right now to remember everything. I don’t have t.v. and I haven’t been able to have the time to read or buy newspapers during this time period. I am in graduate school and it monopolizes all of my time and my brain power.
I have no life, no ability to have the time to think about or do anything other than focus on graduate school.
Sorry if you all are just “shocked” that I can’t manage to stay up with the jargon in FR when I’m not here everyday.
In any event....we’ve got the ROP’s and IED’s cleared up!! : )
I agree, specially with the media created template. My point was that it wasn't the media making it up this time, that it was told by a witness.

I feel the same way.
My mute button is used a lot. The volume goes up considerably when commericals interrupt. :-p It’s extremely annoying! So when they yell like he does, oh man, makes me wanna throw something at the tv.
