JERUSALEM – A top member of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government today announced Israel "must" give up sections of Jerusalem for a future Palestinian state, even conceding the Palestinians can rename Jerusalem "to whatever they want."

"...during 10 years as mayor of Jerusalem, Olmert instructed city workers not to take action against hundreds of illicit Arab building projects throughout eastern sections of Jerusalem housing over 100,000 Arabs squatting in the city illegally..."

So now there are too many to make them leave, I suppose? Sounds familar.

I don’t like this either, but if you’ll remember the city was divided in 1948 when modern Israel was re-established. Granted, the Israelis reunited it after winning it back in battle, but there is precedent.

As for God, let’s not limit Him. The city is His, whether claimed by infidels or idolators or merely the unfaithful. And we are all sinners.

Demographics indicate that Israel may be an Arab state before long simply through democracy. Jews aren’t procreating like they must to maintain majority.

Jews are procreating fine. The birthrate among religious Jews is well above replacement level. In contrast, the secular population is either just replacing itself or stagnating. It will not be long before Israel's secular elites are histoire. They have to give away Jewish land and Jerusalem now, while time is still on their side.

So nations comprising only about a couple of billion people had a few little talks (rocket launches, suicide bombings, reneging on arms shipments,...) with the Israeli leadership. The little, ol’ Road Map, Annapolis, the NIE and lots of calls for “restraint” convinced a few of the Israeli leaders to do that. I’m shocked and would have never thought that Rome, the Huns, and all could manage to put any puppets in charge over there.
