Announcing her campaign to reach all “51 States including the District of Columbia” explained: “I’ve belatedly become a member of the Green Party…No other platform speaks to the African American community as acutely as the Green Party platform.”<<<

Ping.

I hope the “you” in your reply refers to poor “Cynthia.” The leftist Democrats are indeed not loony enough for her.

Some of the rest of us can recall when the Democratic party was much nearer the center, with reasonable leaders like Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman. That’s what I was referring to in suggesting that I agree with McKinney that the Democrat Party has left many core supporters behind.

Are you a guitar player?

Guilty as charged.

Your tagline gave it away. I’m a bass player and drummer, but I hadn’t heard of them before. Thanks.

There was virtually no media at McKinney 's speech, save the local Pacifica station, KPFT.

Writers are on STRIKE and the Networks pass up a comedy spectacular like this? It would almost require no commentary from a moderator. They could get at least an hour's material for "America's Most Hilarious Political Moments".

She went on to speak of “COINTELPRO,” which she described as a 1960s-era covert plan launched by the CIA to replace Dr. Martin Luther King with a more moderate voice.

A RAT president with the initials 'JFK' did this - no?
