The interesting thing about the ‘71 war was that while it recorded the 1st sub kill after World War-2,it also saw the 1st & only loss of a submarine in a war.The Pakistani sub,the PNS Ghazi(ex USS Diablo) was lost in the Bay of Bengal,though it’s exact cause is still not certain(Indian deptcharge or mine/explosion on submarine).
