Huh??? Black is white, war is peace, good is bad. Hear it from the brainy intellectuals called scientists.

............Already we've seen science form the basis of some of the thorniest public policy issues in recent history, from the fate of Terri Schiavo to the fate of evolution in schools and the fate of the Earth. A presidential debate on science would help voters determine who among the candidates is up to the task of dealing with whatever comes next................

Make science part of the debate

I think they want to change the spelling from Hippocratic to Hypocritic..

The same death dealers who snarled after the very life of Terri seek the same theme in Italy as the Vatican came out on Terri's side. Thanks to TheSarce for a ping to this thread by bruinbirdman.

Senior medical figures in Italy are campaigning to scrap the Hippocratic Oath for doctors on the ground that the passages forbidding abortion and euthanasia are outdated.

Italian doctors want to scrap ‘outdated’ Hippocratic Oath

some of the thorniest public policy issues in recent history, from the fate of Terri Schiavo to the fate of evolution in schools and the fate of the Earth.

Herein lies the problem with this as I see it:

Evolution vs. Creation: I've never seen ANYBODY change their mind on this subject, they either believe one or the other. And I very much think the danger of Darwin is not so much his theories of nature, but his and his families eugenics beliefs.

The "fate of the Earth": By this I assume they mean global warming. Again, INTELLIGENT people have already made up their minds on whether they are going to believe hype.

Terri: Despite everything, NOBODY on either side ever suggested that Terri was in any danger of dying if she was allowed to have nutrition and hydration. The only thing to "debate" is whether society has the "right" to arbitrarily decide which lives are "worth living" and since both the Constitution and Declaration of Independence strongly come down on the fact that the right to live is endowed by God, there is still nothing to debate.
