This has GOT to be Scrappleface. Pissant, your analogy is correct, as well as:

It’s like Walter Williams endorsing Dennis Kucinich.

This is just wrong. Gilchrist doesn’t know Huck’s pro-illegal history?

Why? It seems Huck stands for the Bush platform that the Minutemen were fighting against. I guess pop-culture candidate de’jour rules.

Gee Gilchrist, what about THE man Duncan Hunter, who has a detailed plan already worked out to have a complete, double barrier fence up in 6 months after he is elected?

A single issue persepctive from the minuteman. The real problem isn’t what kind of plan they can roll out, it is how hard they will push for it when it runs into opposition. Is it a plan from the heart or from the poll? Actions speak louder than words and Huckabee’s past actions are at odds with his “plan.” I don’t buy it.

The gov is lying about his plan. Look at his actual record. He’s against the very thing the minutemen hold dear.

Are we ever going to change this country and finally elect someone that is actually going to do the right thing?

I haven’t seen much evidence of it.

If Huckabee get the nomination it will neutralize the illegal immigration issue. Neither Huckabee nor the democrat will talk illegal immigration. Helllo, new world order!

Gilcrist just lost a lot of money. He is a fool if he thinks people are going to keep on giving after the election if either one of the liberals get elected. Otherwise, illegal immigration should be a deciding factor in the election.

The only marginally logical explanation I can see is that Gilchrist thinks that Huckabee is better than Giuliani (on immigration, etc), and that - on the basis of polling and MSM coverage - Huckabee has the best chance of beating Giuliani in the primary.

He's probably trying to endorse someone who is near the top in the polls rather than endorse someone that at this point doesn't have much of a chance of winning the nomination.

That leaves him with trying to pick the best of a bad lot on immigration.
