Don't be! I have several health problems that have had me hospitalized several times over the last 3 years, most recently for three weeks in November, and RN's are some of my favorite people! I respect hospital nurses more than almost any other profession. I can take or leave most of the doctors but nurses are great!
Sooooooo, federal health care is responsible for:
the war in Iraq and associated (supposed)
atrocities”; oil prices; global warming; a wounded hunter; Hurricane Katrina; etc. etc. etc. ...
I’m sure Cheny’s medical options are much broader than just what the government offers him.
Well, instead of complaining and whining about it, why don't these scumbags put their money where their mouths are? One way they could do something for "poor people" is to offer their services for free. That would help uninsured people. How do you think the union would go for that? My guess is that instead of helping others, they'd go on strike.
LOL. Vice President Cheney gave up someting like $30 million in stock options to become VP. $30 mill would have bought him pretty good care. I think he can afford to pay for himself. As long as you keep edwards from the doctors’ bank accounts.

Total BS. These Communists act like no one can afford health care coverage. Frankly, we can but barely as hospitals pay for billions in illegal alien health care freebies. IF the federal government would enforce the immigration laws we would see a dramtic decrease in health care costs.
P.S. How do they know if Cheney aid for his own care or not? I thought their HIPAA law prevents their disclosing his medical status.

Federally funded health care for federal employees is a hell of a lot different from federally funded socialized medicine.
On the other hand, if Cheney had to rely on the Hillary's and the other dummies socialized version of health care, then I agree that he would probably be dead by now.

And, have you evfer noticed that the lefties who are so dead set on giving, "free" insurance to all comers never volunteer to have THEIR taxes sufficiently, and then earmarked to pay for it. It's their idea -- why the hall don't they want to foot the bill, and leave the rest of us alone.

I subscribe to the AJN (American Journal of Nursing) and a nurse against the war had an op-ed about how ALL nurses should be anti-war, and she got HAMMERED in subsequent issues.
I think the magazine had to post some of these responses because:
1. there were simply way too many responses
2. they’d lose their business cause 90% of us would walk otherwise!
TRUTH be told, we can’t keep up with all of it when only so many are covered as it is! It would be over-run with 100% govt coverage and nurses with a brain (and not sitting behind a desk with a BDS agenda) KNOW this!
A moot point anyway cause even illegal aliens get treatment in a hospital in this country, coverage or not...
at home they’d be dead and buried by sun-up....MAYBE.

Hint: it's not to help the uninsured (many of whom are illegal aliens or are folks who choose not not buy insurance).

Their solution is to TAKE OUR (yours and my) insurance away from us, and to redistribute a "FAIR" system back that will let us pay MORE to wait FOREVER for an appointment to stand in line for HOURS to speak to a disinterested NURSE who guards the doctor who knows that it's in his/her personal best interest NOT to DIAGNOSE you with anything that will take time or resources to treat.
Talk to British or Canadian folks. They know what waiting in a "queue" for health care means.

Since you’re an RN, do you know, when did the caps go away? After Steve’s last hospital stay, I kinda want them back - I couldn’t tell if the person in scrubs offering medical advice (and every single one of them DID) was an actual nurse, or just there to pick up the lunch tray.
Why not, we've got to pony up for their damned mortgages.
Do these people actually read their reports before they issue them? I’ve also always wondered whether directors and producers ever watch their movies before they unleash them on the American public.
